Cara Kennedy Gymnastics

Giving maximum effort all of the time and being happy with the result knowing you tried your hardest.

About me

I started gymnastics when I was six years old. As I was born nine weeks premature I was very small and took to gymnastics very well. After a short time at a recreational club, I was accepted at the City of Glasgow GC after a trial and have trained there for 12 years. I enjoy everything about gymnastics but love performing on floor. My main qualities are that I am confident, committed and competitive in training and competition. I've shown lots of resilience to overcome a serious ankle injury which took 2 operations and over a years rehabilitation to fix. My career highlight has been competing at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and my ambition is to make Team Scotland again for 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
